Hey dudes

This is my first ever blog!! I'm popping my blogging cherry haha. Just a quick update on what is happening in the world of PMT Norwich in the last week or so.......

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has watched the video we made demoing the NEW Boss ME-25, we have now over 1,000 views and its going strong. Please check it out if you haven't seen it yet.......

At the moment we are steadily receiving Gibson and Epiphone deliveries and they are not disappointing us, we have had a beautiful Les Paul Studio Swamp Ash inc. case and SG special worn Cherry arrive!! also we finally have by popular demand the Epiphone Casino back in our store, in finishes of Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Also for all you Beatles fans we have the Epiphone Viola Beatles bass in, not in the iconic left-handed that Paul would have played but in the regular right-handed.

On the Ibanez front just arrived are the signature guitars of Herman Lee from Dragonforce and Mick Thompson of Slipknot, the perfect guitars for all you shredders wondering the streets in search of speed and pure Shock Rock.

Just a quick secret to tell you all by the way, for those who love to gossip and we know there is loads of you out there, we (PMT Norwich) have secured a full blown deal with Blackstar and they will be arriving very soon to us so we will keep you updated very soon.

Cakewalk, Sonar & New Products for 2010

Hi All,

Welcome to the first blog from PMT Norwich. My name is Dan Henry and I am the Roland Product Specialist at the store. Things are always changing in this business as new products are launched and as new technologies are developed and we have some exciting changes a foot at PMT Norwich.

First, we will be stocking a brand new range of PC & Mac recording solutions in the form of the new Cakewalk range of Midi controllers, audio & midi interfaces (formerly Edirol branded products ) and a new DAW to us, Sonar, to add to the existing trio of Cubase, Protools & Logic.

The product I am most excited about is the new Cakewalk VS100. It is and 8 in 6 out audio interface that works with any DAW though it does come with a really cool Sonar bundle. What's awesome about it is that if you add a SD card you can use it as a stand alone hard disk recorder with in built effects! I've already ordered one and am awaiting delivery.

While trying the VS100 I got to use Sonar producer 8.5 which was very easy to use and had some great features. A simple step sequencer was available to use on any of the wide variety of soft synths meaning programming is a breeze if, like me, you can't play very well. I was particularly impressed with the soft synths Dimension Pro & Session Drummer.

We also have now received demo stock of the following Roland products;

1. RP201 - entry level home piano now available in two finishes - great for people on a budget!
2. KRD700GX - expansion card for RD700GX giving amazing new piano sounds similar to V-Piano technology
3. TD-12KX - Update of a great kit with some tweaks to the module, bigger pads and great new rack
4. ME-25 - Entry level guitar Multi-FX with Amp simulation and also can use as a USB audio interface and comes with Sonar 8.5 LE all for £149!
5. KC-110 - Battery powered stereo keyboard combo, great for buskers
6. AC-33 - My personal favourite - battery powered acoustic combo with loopstation built in!
